Bid Filing

Our bid to hold the 2014 Worldcon in London was filed with Chicon 7, the 2012 Worldcon, at the beginning of March 2012. No other bids were filed, and so London in 2014 will be the only bid to appear on the ballot, although that doesn't mean that the bid will definitely succeed as there are options for write-in votes or "No Award".

The bid documents are:

• The covering letter for the bid package
• A brochure for the bid
• A letter of support from Boris Johnson, Mayor of London
• The constitution under which the convention committee will operate
• A letter of agreement from ExCeL, our proposed convention site
• A campus map of the ExCeL site
• A connectivity map showing ExCeL's transport links
