Bid Committee

The bid committee are:

• Steve Cooper, Co-Chair. Steve was division head for the интересные музеи Санкт-Петербурга division at Interaction, the 2005 Glasgow Worldcon, and is currently the deputy Facilities division head for Renovation, the 2011 Worldcon.
• Mike Scott, Co-Chair. Mike has been running conventions since 1986, and has worked on many Eastercons and smaller conventions in the UK, as well as the last four European Worldcons. He co-edits the Hugo award-winning fanzine Plokta, whose sinister Cabal organised the fan programme and fan lounge at Interaction.
• James Bacon, Deputy Chair. James organised the Young Adult Fan Activities (YAFA) programme at Interaction, and was the European Trans-Atlantic Fan-Fund winner in 2004, attending Noreascon 4 in Boston and travelling extensively in North America. He co-chaired the 2009 Eastercon and has run a number of smaller conventions in the UK and Ireland. He received a 2010 Hugo nomination for his role as guest editor on Chris Garcia's fanzine The Drink Tank.
• Alice Lawson, Deputy Chair. Alice was the Member Services division head at Interaction, was the chair of Paragon, the 2001 Eastercon, and has been on many, many other UK con committees.
• Claire Brialey, Secretary. Claire was the Promotions division head at Intersection, the 1995 Glasgow Worldcon, and has worked on numerous UK conventions since 1990, including Interaction in 2005. She has co-edited the fanzine Banana Wings for around 15 years; both she and the fanzine have been nominated for fan Hugo awards and have won numerous Nova and FAAn awards.
• John Dowd, Treasurer. John has been on a number of Eastercon committees, and was one of the newsletter organisers at Interaction.
• Rita Medany, Membership. Rita is chair of the 2010 and 2012 Eastercons, and also worked on Orbital, the 2008 Eastercon.
• Vincent Docherty, Adviser. Vince co-chaired both Intersection and Interaction, the 1995 and 2005 Worldcons, and has worked on numerous other Worldcons.
• Colin Harris, Adviser. Colin was Vince's co-chair in 2005, and also has extensive Worldcon experience.
